A poem can convey an emotion in one line; a photo should do the same with one capture.
Whatever tools current technology offers us, visual artists must still master the basic elements such as lighting, colour, shape and composition, that make an image speak to us.
Over the decades, using various media such as film, oil pigments and pixels, I've been honing these skills.
